CSTA is Hiring for a Regional Data Collection Coordinator – on Contract
CSTA’s Economic Impact (EI) Team is expanding. We’re seeking a Regional Data Collection Coordinator/Field Supervisor to join our EI Research Team onsite at events taking place in British Columbia and/or Alberta in 2019 and 2020.
Role Details:
- Contract position – occasional, part-time
- Must be based in either BC or Alberta and be available to travel to cities/towns in BC and Alberta in 2019 and 2020
- Daytime/Evenings/Weekend availability required
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Compensation = flat rate per day for field supervision and data collection onsite at events
Responsibilities:
- Recruiting paid or volunteer surveyors who will conduct face-to-face intercept surveys with event attendees.
- Creating surveyor schedules and making adjustments on the fly.
- Processing paperwork for payment of surveyor wages.
- Participating in monthly coordination calls with other member of CSTA’s Economic Impact Team.
- Supervising event surveyors and motivating them to meet survey quotas.
- Prepping tablets with surveys and troubleshooting technical problems with survey hardware or software.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a customer service role or client facing role is a must.
- Experience with marketing, event management or event research is a big asset.
- Must be comfortable with technology – software and hardware.
- Experience with coaching, teaching or training is an asset.
- Must be flexible, professional and have an ability to troubleshoot and deal with stressful event situations.
- Past experience as a CSTA economic impact surveyor is a big asset.
- Experience with sport events, festivals or fairs as a paid employee or event volunteer is an asset.
