Sport Events Exchange (SEE) Eligibility Rule Change
Each year, following our annual Sport Events Congress (SEC), STC conducts a post-event survey to gather information about the event – content, format, networking opportunities – all the elements of SEC that make it a must-attend event each year.
Historically, the Sport Events Exchange (SEE), aka Speed Dating has been limited to destinations and events rights holders. Based on feedback received from SEC22 (Edmonton) and SEC23 (Richmond), we heard that more delegates wanted to participate in SEE. STC is pleased to announce that the eligibility requirements for SEE at SEC24 will be expanded to include more events rights holders, destinations, sports facilities/venues, and hotels. We will trial this new format as a pilot project for SEC24 in Winnipeg.
Things to keep in mind:
- To be a speed dating participant, your organization must be a member of STC.
- While two (2) representatives per organization may participate in SEE, only one (1) representative per organization can book the speed dating appointments. Please remember to enter the name of your organizational representative during the registration process.
- Using our speed dating booking software, participants can request and decline appointments. To ensure your time is well spent and mutually beneficial for both parties, we encourage participants to provide as much detail as possible in their speed dating profiles.
- The booking process will open in January 2024.
We are excited to expand Sport Events Exchange to be more inclusive at SEC24 and to hear about your speed dating experience in Winnipeg!
