If you have never been an exhibitor at SEC, here are some first timer tips that can help make your first time attending Sport Events Congress a smooth and rewarding experience.

VENDOR ALLEY FAQS

What type of traffic will exhibitors get?

We cannot guarantee that every SEC delegate will visit your booth – that is YOUR job as an exhibitor to drive crowds to your kiosk by hosting engaging activities or games or offering prizes. However, it is STCs job to bring the right quantity and quality of event participants to Sport Events Congress.

What is the price of a booth at SEC?

Please download the Vendor Alley package and carefully review the inclusions to ensure you budget for any décor, electrical, AV, internet or specialty furniture you may need to enhance your booth (these add-ons are not included in Vendor Alley fees).

$4500 CAD (+ TAXES)
  • Each SEC booth package includes:
  • 10 ft x 10 ft kiosk space with black pipe & drape (8 ft high back + 3 ft high sides)
  • One 6 ft skirted table & two folding chairs
  • One full delegate registration for one person at SEC
  • A mention on the exhibitor list (posted on STC’s website)
  • 2.5 hrs of dedicated Vendor Alley time on the event schedule (over 2.5 days)
  • Ideas on how to animate your space
  • Access to the conference WiFi

Is there marketing support for exhibitors?

STC promotes Vendor Alley to attendees onsite via announcements and text messages. There are social media mentions on Twitter as well. If you are seeking marketing elements or a bigger presence at SEC (such as logo placement, speaking opportunities or activations), we suggest you consider becoming an event sponsor.

Where will my booth be located?

Our trade show floor plan changes from one year to the next depending on the venue and we work with a local trade show supplier to create a floor plan that makes good use of the space and will optimize the exhibitor experience. Exhibitors in Vendor Alley are not permitted to pick their specific booth location, but we do try to assign the best spots to exhibitors who confirm early on. We’ll also try to separate you from your competitor.

Is WIFI offered as a part of the Vendor Alley Package?

Please download the Vendor Alley package and review very carefully. WiFi may be made available to SEC delegates on a complimentary basis, but that doesn’t guarantee that a WiFi connection will be suitable for usage in your booth.

Are there Load-in and Load-out instructions?

Our local trade show supplier will assist all exhibitors with rentals, shipping, and other logistics during load-in and load-out.

Should I staff my booth?

The SEC trade show is not a stand-alone event. It is fully integrated into the SEC schedule. As such, we suggest exhibitors staff their booth during the timeframe identified for Vendor Alley on the event schedule. Exhibitors receive a full delegate pass with their Vendor Alley package which means you have access to all the same activities and sessions as everyone else. Don’t waste your time standing at your booth when everyone else is in meeting rooms or taking part in other activities. Get out there and participate along with everyone else!

How many people can attend SEC with me?

Each Vendor Alley package includes one full delegate registration. Additional ones can be added on for a discounted rate. Download our Vendor Alley package for full details.

Can I share my booth space with another company?

Booth sharing is not permitted unless special arrangements have been made.

Are exhibitors permitted to do any food or beverage sampling?

Prior approval from STC and the venue will be required.

City of Leduc – Former Mayor Greg Krischke

We have several events – MAJOR events – that have come to our community as a direct result of Sport Events Congress. Networking is one of the secrets to success at this conference. You get to experience sport tourism at its finest – that’s really cool.

Hockey Canada – Dean MacIntosh

We met with four or five communities that we’ve never been in before at Sport Events Congress.  They bid on an event over the next couple of years, and before you know it, we’re in that community hosting a major event.
