Peter Montopoli
Peter Montopoli is the General Secretary of the Canadian Soccer Association, providing leadership for the largest participation sport in Canada.
In addition he recently oversaw the staging of the extremely successful FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015™ in the capacity of CEO for the National Organising Committee. The FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015 saw Canadian and FIFA attendance records set with over 1.35M spectators in attendance and close to 750M television viewers watching the competition globally.
Previously he was appointed as General Coordinator for host city Rustenburg at the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ and served as the National Event Director for the FIFA U-20 World Cup Canada 2007.
Before soccer, Mr. Montopoli was the Chief Marketing Officer for Skate Canada where his milestones included the 2001 World Figure Skating Championships.
