ORGANIZING A SPORTING EVENT IN LAVAL: 
A WINNING GAME PLAN! 

 

There are many cities in Canada that are perfect to welcome sports events, but we truly believe that Laval is more than perfect and an exceptional destination! Why? Laval has a wide range of facilities to welcome sports events of all types. In fact, Laval is a sought-after destination where to host large-scale events thanks to its high-end multidisciplinary sports.  

For instance, this year, Laval has welcomed Escalade Canada’s Youth National Boulder and Lead Championships at Le Crux Climbing Centre. Also in 2022, Laval will host Canada Deaf Games from July 4 to 10, the 55th Final of Quebec Games from July 22 to 30, and several other events throughout the year.  

Add to those special events the home games of the Rocket of Laval, an American League professional hockey team affiliated to the NHL Montreal Canadiens team, that are played at Place Bell. Attending a Rocket game is a great opportunity to see in action very talented young players that will be NHL’s heroes of tomorrow!

        An Example of a Prestigious Event: 

        The 55th Finals of the Jeux du Québec to be held in Laval 

        The Jeux du Québec are a major provincial competition that gathers young athletes under the age of 18. From July 22 to 30, 2022, approximately 4000 young athletes from 19 regions of Quebec, 800 coaches and 400 officials representing 20 sports will be in Laval for the 55th edition. Interesting fact: last year, in 2021, was the 30th anniversary of Laval hosting the Finals 27th Edition of the Jeux du Québec in 1991.  

        Hosting this great sporting event in Laval is mainly possible thanks to the City’s new sports facilities and venues as well as the numerous upgrades of sports facilities that were made in the past years. Laval’s efficient transportation network and many nearby accommodations, plus numerous dedicated volunteers and employees also guarantee the success of major events. 

        The athletes, their families and friends, organizers and visitors will enjoy their stay in Laval thanks to the various attractions the region has to offer. Plus, everything is nearby. 

        The opening and closing ceremonies of the 55th Finals of Quebec games will be held at Place Bell, two events not to be missed!
