Attached below is the request for proposals along with bid application documents for both the 2018 FIBA Americas Men’s Championship and the 2019 FIBA U19 Men’s World Championship.
The deadline for submitting letters of intent to bid is July 13, 2016. Bid applications must be submitted to Canada Basketball by November 3, 2016.
A decision regarding the host communities that Canada Basketball will partner with to pursue each event will be announced in early 2017.
2018 FIBA Americas Men’s Championship
The FIBA Americas U18 Men’s Championship is the direct qualifier for the 2019 FIBA U19 Men’s World Championship. It is played over a five-day period of intense competition, taking place in a fun and friendly atmosphere open to the entire community.

2019 FIBA U19 Men’s World Championship
The FIBA U19 World Championship is a 9-day period of intense competition, taking place in a fun and friendly atmosphere open to the entire community and enjoying a high level of visibility thanks to live broadcasting/webcasting and FIBA’s digital platforms.
